THE “WELCOME NEW MEMBERS” ISSUE!!!
(aka the really long meeting issue)

Cloud 9 - the first PW slot of the millenium will be opening in the Downstairs Space on Friday, March 10th and run until Monday, March 13th. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!

WEEK IN THE SPACE - the next PW slot in the Downstairs Space! Proposals are due Tuesday, February 29th to the mentor - Maria at x74989?drop her a line to apply or find out more info. Performance dates are Friday, March 17th to Monday, March 20th. Keep on the lookout for posters?

3rd slot is also coming up soon - proposals are due to Sam (your friendly mentor) on Tuesday March 7th. Call him if you have any questions or would like to apply - x74063. Performance dates Are April 14th through the 17th.

MONEY FOR ART!!! GRANTS PROPOSALS are due March 17th by NOON at SAO BOX 69. Call Jasmine at x74907 to apply. (Grants subcommittee - Jasmine, Maria, Seth, and Rachael)?Posters will be up soon.

CALENDARS for the PW season are in the Becker Library in Lyman Hall and at our website - http://pw.students.brown.edu

NEW DIRECTOR'S WORKSHOP is in the works!!! Propse a scene from your favorite already published work! This will also allow new set and lighting designers to strut their stuff?subcommittee is Alex A, Sarah Di, Mac, and Lila Rose?tentative performance dates are April 6th and 7th. More details coming soon.

New jobs:
Sarah Di - costume shop (i.e. lending, etc.)
Mac - tickets
Lila Rose - First Aid kits (calling Health Services, keeping them stocked)

UPSTAIRS SPACE POLICY:
For events happening in the Upstairs Space, there needs to be at least a week's notice and all the paperwork must be completed (check, and contract signed) by NOON the day before the event. Contracts are in SAO box 69 and the person to contact about the Upstairs Space in Rachael at x76809. In the case that an event gives less than a week's notice, they are responsible for calling all the board members to see if they can monitor, and if no one can, it is up to the event to hire a police officer to monitor.

If you would like to schedule an event during the tech week of a Downstairs Space show, it is up to the discretion of the show's director as to whether or not you can use the Upstiars Space because of noise issues.

UPSTAIRS SPACE CLEANING EXTRAVAGANZA- re-hanging lights, throwing out ratty old couches, disassembling table saws that look like beds, etc? 10:30 PM on Tuesday February 29th.

*Sam - calling trash guys to haul the couch?

*Giselda is going to talk to Dean Inman about the issue of bands specifically in the Upstairs Space and how to deal with monitoring them (issues of time, how much one person can do, etc, were brought up)

Sam (and his friend) are writing a program for our website to get rid of Blue Room tix?details later?

PS - He also promises that the website will always be up to date in his care (it's in the minutes so now it's gotta be the truth)

Idea for next strike - picking a room to concentrate on for after ground strike is over instead of leaving it to one lonely person?that way maybe be can fix up the space little by little - all 12 of us are attacking the costume shop after next strike to see if it works?

- SCHEDULING A MONEY MEETING (someone brought up the issue of an inventory of what we already have and/or need)
- What's up with the First Aid
- New Director's Workshop (updates on when things are due, if posters need to be made, etc.)
- Fixing broken lights in Electrics Room??
