==== the announcement list ====

The announcement list is a weekly mailing with some itemized information about what's going on at pw. This usually includes upcoming auditions, shows needing staff members, opportunities to help build, hang lights, or paint, and information about tickets for upcoming shows. Think of it like "Morning Mail", but only once a week, and with stuff you actually care about.

We make a pretty good effort to keep this to once a week unless there's something pretty important. We aren't like those other groups who get your email at the freshman activities fair and then send you six emails a week for the next four years.

To subscribe to the announcement list, just send a blank email to [[pw-list-subscribe@pw.brown.edu|pw-list-subscribe@pw.brown.edu]]. It will automatically send a confirmation email -- reply to this to confirm your subscription and you'll be all set.

==== the tech list ====

The pw-tech mailing list is an open-posting mailing list that the design and tech community is free to use as it will. In general, we encourage designers and tech directors to use this list as a place to send out emails announcing when they will be working in the space, so anyone who's interested can come and help out.

We're just trying this for the first time this semester, so we don't know how much email it will generate. It probably won't be more than a couple emails a week, so if you're interested in helping out with tech-related things for PW, sign on up! After you're subscribed, you can send emails to [[pw-tech@pw.brown.edu|pw-tech@pw.brown.edu]].
