pw webserver info (geek talk)The pw webserver is a Dell PowerEdge 600SC running Debian Linux. It's got 80GB of primary disk and another 12G for backups. The server itself is located in the PW box office next to Spike, our plant. We currently serve the following websites:If you are an arts group at Brown and would like to get web space on our server, we'd probably be happy to set you up. The only thing we require is that, when it comes time to upgrade or repair the server, you chip in a little bit. But we're thrifty spenders and web servers don't need to be the latest and greatest computer, so don't worry. We've probably spent $80 in the last 3 years. Email pw@brown.edu for more info.
